It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Willie Lee, Jr.,  of 134 New Market Street in Greenwood, South Carolina.  He transitioned on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the age of 89.

Mr. Lee was born on August 27, 1934 in Greenwood County and was educated in the Greenwood County School System. He worked as a brick mason and retired as a foreman from Flour Daniel Construction Company after many years of dedicated service. He was a loyal Trustee at Tabernacle Baptist Church and was instrumental in church building projects over the years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Felecia Ann Lee, his mother, Marie A. Lee Settles and two sisters, Martha Lee Settles and Mary S. Warren.

Leaving to cherish his most precious and fond memories are his wife of 35 years, Martha Ann Lee, his stepson, Raymond (Veronica) Hall of Blythewood, South Carolina, his stepdaughter, Felicia (Marvin) Venable of West Columbia, South Carolina, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his devoted niece, Cynthia Warren of Greenwood, South Carolina and many other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Homegoing service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Pastor Reverend Quincy J. Baylor officiating.  Assisting will be Reverend John Aiken and Pastor Marvin Venable. Burial will be in Evening Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the Trustees of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Flower Bearers will be the Women's Trustees of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 11 through Friday, October 13, 2023 at 205 Tarrant Street in Greenwood, South Carolina.
