Vanessa Aiken, 64, entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2023, at her home.

She was born March 3, 1958, in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Bercy Williams and Susie Lee Patterson Manick.

She attended The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a longtime employee of Shady Rest Manor. She also attended Greenwood High school.

She was preceded in death by three brothers Eddie Manick Sr, Bobby Lee Manick, and Ronnie Manick.

Surviving are her three children, Demetrius A. Manick (Saleecia) of Greenwood South Carolina; Darrick D. Aiken of Seattle Washington and Thurshundray N. Aiken of Greenwood South Carolina; two sisters, Susie Ann Manick and Bertha Manick Davis (Greg) one brother, James Manick (Marvaleen) all of Greenwood, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, one uncle, Robert Manick of Los Angeles, California, one aunt, Cornelia Patterson of Greenwood, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the chapel of Parks Funeral Home with Brother Norman Boyd officiating.

The family is at the home of her sister, Susie Ann Manick, 122 Darlington Street in Greenwood, South Carolina.
