Roy Smith, 91 of Freetown Rd. Hodges, South Carolina, husband of the late Elizabeth Belcher-Smith departed this life on Monday, September 6, 2021  at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born June 20, 1930 to the late Robert Witt Smith and the late  Jessie McKnight Smith. Roy was a member of Macedonia C.M.E. Church in Hodges, South Carolina.

Roy was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, one daughter, one son, five grandchildren.

Roy leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Carlton (Ojetta) Smith of Hodges, South Carolina; two daughters, Eileen (James) Smith of Anderson, South Carolina and Bernadette Smith-Todd  of Hodges, South Carolina; one sister, Suetta Smith-Ward of Due West, South Carolina; one nephew reared in the home, London (Rona) Williams of Tennessee; one son-in-law James (Gloria) Dickey; ten grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13,  2021 at Piney Grove A.M.E. Church, 221 Piney Grove Church Road in Hodges, South Carolina with the Reverend Greg Singleton, Pastor, Reverend Amos Harling, officiating and Reverend Johnny Henderson assisting.

Public viewing  will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
