Mr. Rodney Terez Edwards, 50, of 317 McKellar Drive, Greenwood, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home.

Born May 25, 1968 in Greenwood County, he was the son of Janette Edwards Ligon and the late Calvin Luchie.

Rodney was a 1986 graduate of Greenwood High School and  attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was employed with Eaton Cooperation Cooper and served in the United States National Guards for several years.  He was  member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Leaving to cherish his most precious memories are; his mother, Janette E. Ligon and Dad, Bobby Ligon of Ninety-Six, South Carolina; two daughters, Asia Edwards of Greenville, South Carolina and Mya Edwards of Greenwood, South Carolina; one son, Calvin Edwards of Greenwood, South Carolina; two brothers, Chris Smith and Laron Anderson both of Ware Shoals, South Carolina; his former wife, Beneca Edwards of Greenwood, South Carolina; one aunt, Sandra Milner of Greenwood, South Carolina; other aunts and uncles along with a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. John C. Aiken, Pastor and Officiating.  Assisted by Rev. Rebecca Aiken, Rev. Sylvester Jackson, Rev. Sylvester Grant and Rev. Hattie Henderson. The body will be placed in the church at 10 am.  Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Timothy Warren, Lonnie Partlow, Charles Greene, Ed Brown, Chris Rush and Earl Warren.  Flower Bearers will be friends of the family.  Honorary Escorts will be Greenwood High School Class of 1986.
