Mary Alice Patterson Reese, 70, of 101 Windtree Court, Apartment 103 entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 1, 2024 at her home.

Born in McCormick County, South Carolina on September 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Annie Ruth Patterson and the late William "Bro" Gary.

Mary attended Brewer High School and entered the work field at an early age.  She was employed with Professional Medical Products for many years and retired from Monsanto Plant.

Everyone who knew Mary appreciated her fashionable style and sophistication. Mary was well known for her interior decorating and gardening skills.  Her green thumb brought life to many flowers and plants.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Moses Patterson and Bobby Patterson; three sisters, Ceola Patterson, Jesse Mae Belcher and Mamie Middleton; one grandson, Zykevious Ramsey.

Leaving to cherish her most fond and precious memories are;  her only child, Cynthia Patterson of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Rashad Chiles, Sharie Chiles and Kemarion Williams; five great grandchildren, Jamel, Jer'Nilah, Kyrie, Laila and Zymir; five brothers, Joshua Patterson, Jr., William (Teresa) Gary, William Gary Robinson, Wayne Morgan and Calvin Payton; eight sisters, Francis, (Edward) Williams who was truly her sister's keeper; Debra (Larry) McCasline, Jacqueline Williams, Dara (Leo) Harrison, Sandra (Oniel) Blocker, Sherry (Eddie) Dennis, Ina Young, and Julia (Michael) Parks; two special nieces, Shawn and Shay; an exceptional caregiver, Lynn Brown  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in the chapel of Parks Funeral Home with the Reverend Carrie P. Samuel officiating.
