Mary F. Morgan 95, formerly of 652 Gilliam Ave., Greenwood, South Carolina and wife of the late Mr. Willie Morgan departed this life Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Betty J. Pendermon in Laurens ,South Carolina. She was born to the late Rev. Henry and Agnes Mansel on May 29, 1922 in Greenwood County.

Mother Morgan joined Cokesbury Baptist Church at an early age. She was the oldest Mother of the Church, a Pastor supporter, member of the Missionary Society and a part of the Senior Choir. She was a dedicated and faithful member until illness.

Leaving to cherish her loving memories are: five daughters, Betty J. Pendermon of Laurens, SC, Jo Ann Hammond of PA, Florence Gilchrist, Mary Ellen (Robert) Rappley of Greenwood, SC, Loree (Ed) Maynard of NY: two sons, Alfonzo (Willa) Morgan and Frank (Arlene) Morgan, Both of Greenwood, SC; two god-children, Robert Sullivan of PA and Liza Jackson of Hodges, SC: one sister, Agnes Williams of Greenwood, SC; twenty six grandchildren of which two were reared in the home Bobby and Mildred Morgan of NC; Fifty-two Great grandchildren, and forty-six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two children, two grandchildren, one great grandson and one son-in-law.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Sunday July 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Cokesbury Baptist Church with Bishop Emmanuel Spearman officiating, Minister Vera Grant presiding. Burial will follow at the Evening Star Cemetery.

The Family will be at the homes of her daughters; Betty Pendermon, 933 Boyd Road, Laurens, SC 29360 and Florence Gilchrist, 728 Gilliam Ave. Greenwood, SC.
