Mrs. Mamie Lou Hill, 93, "Lou Baby" of 534 Hackett Avenue entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home.

Born in Greenwood County, South Carolina on July 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Fate and Hennie Ross.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Emma L Smith and two grandsons.

She was the last survivor of her immediate family.

Leaving to cherish her most precious memories are;  two daughters, Mary E Smith and Mamie H. Johnson both of Greenwood, South Carolina,  one son, James (Smitty) Smith of Greenwood, South Carolina;  seven grandchildren, Sharon Smith Jackson (Willie), Heath Smith (Julie), Pamela Johnson-Ray, Jocque Smith (Samantha), Keith Smith and Antwan Arnold; ten great grandchildren, Tyrell Smith (Kayla), Chavous Johnson, Dre Quarles, Shanie Brown (Jordon), Treasure Ray, Adaya Arnold, Miles Smith, Natlie Estrella, Ashley Smith, Halle Carter and Tanesha Smith; twelve great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Home Going service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. James McKee, Sr. officiating and Reverend Joseph Caldwell assisting. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Alzheimer Association.
