Loree Stewart Witt entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born on December 22, 1934, in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Richard and LueAnnie Stewart.

She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Witt for over 50 years. Following her retirement from the Department of Defense, she returned to her cherished hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Women’s Aide Society.

She leaves to cherish and honor her, four children: Carolyn Witt of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Anita Faye Witt of Greenwood, South Carolina; Beverly Anne Witt, and Al Witt Jr., both of Charlotte, North Carolina; and her daughter-in-law, Priscilla Witt (Al).

She is further survived by seven grandchildren—Kayana, Brian (Christine), Justin, Myles (Syndee), Mya, Derek, and Deraal—and eight great-grandchildren—Caleb, Janae, Ava, Jason, Jameela, Amelia, Amina, and Dalvin.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Jamarie Witt; her sister, Elease Hackett; and her two brothers, RT Stewart, Jr. and Mike Stewart.

Her memory will also be honored and cherished by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

The life and legacy of Loree Stewart Witt will endure in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Mrs. Loree Stewart Witt will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Otis Cunningham, Pastor and Reverend Ricky Oliver, Officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Evening Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers and Flower Bearers will be Family and Friends.

The family is at the home 933 Reynolds Avenue.
