Mrs. Lizette Vernell Griffin Henderson, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont.

Born September 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Leola Holloway Griffin. She was a member of Marshall Chapel Baptist Church where she was a former member of the choir and served on the usher board.

She was a 1975 graduate of Greenwood High School and for many years she worked as a healthcare provider at NHC and other healthcare facilities.

Leaving to cherish her most precious memories; her husband, Freddie Henderson; two sons, Colbis (Connie) Griffin and Larry Henderson; one grandson, Zac-Chaeus Griffin, two granddaughters, Connoca Griffin  and Heaven Griffin; three sisters, Mary Frances Settles, Edna (Johnny) Mattison and Patricia Adams; three brothers, James Donald Griffin, Jerry Louis Griffin and Henry Lee Griffin; two sisters-in-law, Rosetta Griffin and Debra Hamilton; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Cannon and MacArthur Cannon and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Marshall Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric S. Morton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
