Lillie Belle Morton Crawford, 70 departed this life on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at HospiceCare of the Piedmont in Greenwood, S.C., the wife of Bennie N. Crawford, Sr.

She was born June 19, 1946 the daughter of the late James and Eva Morton.

Lillie Belle was formerly employed with Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina, as a hostess and, prior to that, as a weaver at Greenwood Mills Durst Plant. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities. She was also a member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Mass Choir and The Women's Aide Society No. 87.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Benetra (Jesse) Calhoun, Jr., Rhonetta Crawford of the home and Lilyyette (Leon) Pugh of Greenwood, S.C.: one son, Reverend Bennie (Kenyetta) Crawford, Jr. of Greenwood, S.C.; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Roselle (Reverend Bobby) Chiles, Carrie Simpkins, Geraldine (Reverend Moses) Miller, Shirley Johnson and Alice (Reverend Anthony) Gaskin, all of Greenwood, S.C.: three brothers, Milledge (Bdarbara)Morton, Wilbert (Stephanie) Morton, all of Greenwood and Charles (Mary) Morton of Portland, Oregon.

Services will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, with Reverend Raymond Adams officiating, Reverend Krystal Bryant presiding, assisted by Reverend Michael Butler, Reverend James Holmes and Reverend Bobby Chiles, Sr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews. Flower Bearers will be nieces. Honorary escort will be Womens Aide Society No. 87.

The family is at the home, 208 Simpkins Road, Greenwood, S.C.
