Leonard Bernard White, Sr., 70, of 221 Wheatfield Drive died on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Leonard B. White, Sr. was called from labor to reward on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife of 44 years, Joyce White.

A native of Greenwood, South Carolina, Leonard was the beloved son of the late Calvin White, Sr., and Mary White. He was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and a proud graduate of Greenwood High School.

Leonard dedicated over five decades of his life—51 years—to Cardinal Health, formerly Parke Davis. His work ethic and loyalty were unmatched, and he left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

An avid sportsman throughout his life, Leonard played basketball in high school and for the industrial league team at Parke Davis. He also played baseball with the Greenwood A's. He later shared his love of sports with the next generation by coaching little league baseball, t-ball, and football.

A loyal Greenwood High alum, Leonard was a proud supporter of the school's athletic programs. Whether it was football, basketball, or track, you could count on him being in the stands—cheering, encouraging, and uplifting the youth in his community. His passion for sports extended to his grandchildren, whose games and events he rarely missed.

Leonard also had a love for music and fellowship. He especially enjoyed attending Spirit Fest and listening to gospel quartet groups, which brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin White, Sr.

Leonard leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce White; two sons, Leonard White, Jr. (LB) and Carl Adams; and two daughters, Kecia Clark (Leon) and UaShica Parks (Allan). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Raina and Laila (reared in the home), Mariah, Trinitee, Zay'len, and Ava—and three bonus grandchildren: Tashaye, Asha, and Bre. He also leaves two bonus great-grandchildren, Ah'Siyah and Rolann, and a bonus grandson, Anthony "AJ" McGhee.

He is also survived by four brothers: Calvin White, Jr., Vincent White, Carlton Mims, and O'Neil Cunningham; and three sisters: Dorothy White, Kathy Levister (Wendell), and Dorthy Bundley. Leonard's memory will also be cherished by his sisters-in-law: Alice White, Frankie Wright (Lee), Vickie White, and Carolyn Hackett (Greg); and brothers-in-law: Rex White and the late Bobby White.

Leonard will be deeply missed by a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his entire community.

His life was a testament to hard work, commitment, and compassion. Though he is no longer with us in the physical, the seeds he sowed in love and service will continue to bloom for generations to come.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
