Kodi Okimos Sanders, Sr., 46, of 411 Freetown Road, Hodges, South Carolina, husband of Marilyn Sanders transitioned on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood County, South Carolina on October 18, 1978, he was the son of Tom Sanders and Judy Wideman. He was raised in the home of his aunt, Annie Payne and the late Sam Payne.

He is preceded in death by one son, Kwamarius Sanders and two brothers, Ollie Payne and Kendrick Payne.

Leaving to cherish his most fond and precious memories are; his wife, mothers and father; six children, Zikia Sanders, Nikia Sanders, Amarius Sanders, Kodi Sanders, Jr., Pretavius Childs and Elijah Sanders, two step children, Jamiya Thomas and Tamira McIntosh two sisters, Deelva Sanders of North Carolina and Ojetta (Bill) Smith of Hodges, South Carolina and one brother, Kassin Peterson of Norristown, Philadelphia, eleven grandchildren, and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

A celebration of Life for kodi Okimos Sanders, Sr., will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Second Damascus Baptist Church, 506 Gaines Store Road in Greenwood, South Carolina with the Reverend Leroy Robertson, Officiating. Assisting will be the Reverend Dr. Amos Harling. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lindsey Anderson, Myron Turman, Keith Starks, Demetrick Morgan, Titus Patterson, Admond Hughes, Bruce Martin and David. Flower Bearers will be Family and Friends.

The family is at the homes 411 Freetown Road in Hodges, South Carolina and 690 Old Augusta Road in Plum Branch, South Carolina.
