Karen Singletary Perrin "KP", 61, wife of Larry O. Perrin of 106 Biltmore Street Greenwood, South Carolina departed her earthly life on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Karen L. Singletary Perrin, affectionately known as "KP" was born December 23, 1961 in Detroit Michigan to the late Vonzie Lee Hackett Perrin and the Late Wilbert Singletary, Sr., She was the granddaughter of the late Julian Pruitt and Nezzie T. Hackett and Gabe and Lizzie Singletary.

She was a graduate of Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Illinois and formerly employed by Capsugel, Greenwood Packing Plant (Carolina Pride), GLEAMS Headstart and Self Regional Healthcare.

As a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, she sang melodiously with the Mass Choir and the Adams Ensemble, served faithfully in the Trustee Wives' Ministry, the Couples' Sunday School Class, the Couples' Ministry and the Young Women's Missionary Association. Karen was a former member of the MLK Choir and Psalm 150 Ensemble.  She was a member of the Women's Home Aid Society Number 87.

Karen leaves to cherish her most fond and precious memories in addition to her husband are; two sons, Quincy L. Singletary (Keshia Gray) of Greenwood, South Carolina and Bryan J. Perrin of the home; three daughters, Tiffany M. Singletary (Patrick Holloway) of Greenwood, South Carolina; LaToya M. Perrin (Ortez Lee) of Hodges, South Carolina and Tiffany Rogers of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Cedric Singletary, Sr., of Greenwood, South Carolina; Wilbert (Nicole) Singletary, Jr., of Tampa, Florida and Christopher (LaToya) Singletary of Oro Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Lucile (James) Blair and Mildred (Raymond Sr.,) Johnson of Bradley, South Carolina; six aunts, Betty Ann Williams, Mary White, Jeanette White, Marie Pope, Helen (Rev. Paul, Sr.) Long and Frances Taylor; two uncles, Frank (Jackie) Hackett and James Singletary; step-mother, Freddie Singletary; mother-in-law, Annie Bell Perrin; one brother-in-law, Charles Perrin; seven sisters-in-law, Peggy Williams, Carolyn Perrin, Jacqueline Perrin, Joyce Jabber, Susan Wideman (Thomas), Deloris Irvin and Tange' Perrin Lomax (David); twelve grandchildren, Bryan "BJ" Gilmore, Kamyia Singletary, Ayidan Rainey, Mariah Lockhart, India Rice, Xay Singletary, Jaylen Strong, Zyon Singletary, Quintavious Singletary, Cayden Lee, Paige Singletary and Gracelee Singletary; three great grandchildren, Skylar Wright, Teasia Nance and Keylan Wright; special sisters/cousins, Diane (Brian) Calhoun, Christa Hackett, Janet Hackett, Kimberly "Kim" Murphy, Linda (Glenn) Norman, Deborah Williams, Mary Ann Williams, Kitty (Curtis) Cannon, Daisy (Allen) Rucker, Sheila (Randolph) Dendy, Michelle Hall, Tracy Criag and Shayla McClary.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Karen was pre-deceased by one brother, Donnell Singletary, one daughter-in-law, LaTonya Thompson-Perrin, one brother-in-law, James Thomas Perrin and two sisters-in-law, Robbie Mae Lyons and Georgia Mae Perrin.

Public viewing will be held from 1-6 P.M. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Parks Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Little River Multicultural Complex, 415 Riley Road North in Hodges, South Carolina 29653. The Reverend Raymond Adams will be officiating and Reverend Alvin Green presiding.  Assisting will be Reverend Michael Butler, Reverend Paul Long, Sr., Minister Tange' Perrin Lomax and Pastor Jacqueline Perrin.  Burial will be In Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Len White, Melvin Blair, Marcus Williams, Reggie Smith, John Hackett and Eric J. Williams.

Flower Bearers will be Ronda Harris, Delia Blair, T'Keyah Harris, DeWanda Sayles, Catina Jennings, Mia Sibert, Marticia Bonds, Nicole King, Brittany Johnson, Toi Holloway, Angela Bradley and Jasmine Hackett.

Honorary Escorts will be trustees and trustees' wives, Diane Calhoun, Janet Hackett, Linda Norman, Mary Ann Williams, Daisy Rucker, Michelle Hall, Christa Hackett, Kimberly Murphy, Deborah Williams, Kitty Cannon, Sheila Dendy, Tracy Criag and Shayla McClary.
