Mr. Joseph Canty 67, of 201 Belle Oaks Drive West, entered into eternal life in paradise on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at his home.

Born in Washington, D.C, he was the son of the late William A. Canty and the late Elease McDaniels-Canty.

He attended Springfield Baptist Church in Edgefield County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and his paternal grandparents Joseph Canty Sr. and Lillie Canty.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 42 years, Mary B. Canty; his two sons, Travis L. Canty and Carlos J. Canty. one sister, Lorraine Harvey; three grandchildren Cyeed J. Canty, Kierra K. Canty, Tierra L. Canty; one great grandson Cy'Meer J.J. Canty. A host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Springfield Baptist Church in Edgefield County conducted by the Rev. Roderick Cummings. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home on Monday Evening.
