John Curtis "Kirk" Threatt, III, 32, of 216 Jennings Avenue,  Greenwood, South Carolina died on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Self Regional Healthcare Center in Greenwood, South Carolina. Kirk was born April 2, 1988 in Greenwood, South Carolina and was the son of J C and Carolyn Threatt.

Kirk was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 2006. He was employed by Resurgent Capital Services in Greenville, South Carolina. He was a Inbound Customer Service Representative.

Kirk thought of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Elberton, Georgia, Reverend Henry T. Butler as his church home.  During his teen years, he fellowshipped with the Living Waters Church of God in Greenwood, South Carolina, Reverend Dr. Clara O. Barnes.

Kirk was a humble fun-loving young man, who never met a stranger.  He dearly loved the Lord and his family and friends.  He was a forgiving soul knowing how to let things roll off and keep moving.  Never caring a grudge.

Leaving to cherish his memories are; his parents, Carolyn and J C of the home.  Surviving in addition to his parents are uncles and aunts; Curtis O'Neal Allen (Melvis) of Allenhurst, Georgia; Jeffery Preston Threatt (Thelma) of Orangeburg, South Carolina; Patrick Wayne Allen (Carmen) of Clarksville, Tennessee; Sandra O'dessa Drummings (James) of Trenton, South Carolina and Lelia Allen of Buena Park, California. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Elberton, Georgia with the Reverend Henry T. Butler officiating and assisted by the Reverend Dr. Clara O. Barnes and Reverend Geri Long-Cheeks.

Pallbearers will be Larry Belcher, Charles Fisher, Steven Robinson, Robert Fisher, Eugene Townsend, Anton Payne, Curtis Allen, J. Preston Threatt and P. Wayne Allen.

Parks Funeral Home of Greenwood, South Carolina is assisting the Threatt Family.
