Mr. Jeffery Bennett Calhoun, 55, of 823 Reynolds Avenue, Greenwood, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood County, South Carolina on July 22, 1968, he was the son of the late Sammy L. "Snoop" Drennon, Sr. and the late Sarah "Sate" Calhoun.

He was a member of New China Baptist Church in Troy, South Carolina. He was educated in McCormick Public School Systems and was employed with Greenwood fabricating and Plating.

"Bent" as he was affectionally called by his family and friends was a very outgoing and friendly person who loved to have fun, to know him was to love him. He was a true die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Christine Drennon Morgan, Leola Drennon and LaRhonda Renae Calhoun.

Leaving to cherish his most fond and precious memories are one son, Jerrell Williams, Sr.,  of Greenwood, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Jemeria Williams, Simira Williams, Lyrix Williams, Ava Williams, Jerrell Williams, Jr., Jayce Williams and Aaliyah Williams; a special friend, Keisha Butler of the home; three sisters, Josephine (Bennie) Glenn of Mitchellville, Maryland; Sarah L. Klugh of Abbeville, South Carolina and Angela M. Calhoun of Greenwood, South Carolina; five brothers, James Devlin, Thomas B. Calhoun and Sammy L. (Diane) Drennon, Jr. all of Greenwood, South Carolina; David Calhoun of Augusta, Georgia and Jesse (Janice) Calhoun of Bradley, South Carolina; two nephews reared in the home, Rodney (Lois) Drennon of Augusta, Georgia and Samuel (Peggy) Calhoun of Ware Shoals, South Carolina; two nieces reared in the home, Livia (Willie) Watson and Toya Drennon both of Greenwood, South Carolina; one aunt, Frances Tolbert of Greenwood, South Carolina. "Bent" is also survived a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him tremendously.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 1-6 p.m. at Parks Funeral Home.

A celebration of Life for Jeffery Bennett "Bent" Calhoun will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at New China Baptist Church, 7515 McCormick Highway in Troy, South Carolina with the Reverend Bennie Crawford, Jr., Pastor and officiating. Assisting will be Reverend James C. Coleman, Reverend Joseph Caldwell and Archbishop Emanuel Spearman. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11:00 a.m.

Honorary Escorts will be employees of Greenwood Fabricating and Plating.

Pallbearers will be DeJohn Drennon, Corey Drennon, Ikeem Drennon, Willie Watson, Calvin Tennant, Courtnae Anderson and Gregory Jones.

Flower Bearers will be Livia D. Watson, India Drennon, Toya Drennon, Zy'Keria Gilyard, Patricia Courtney, Renae Calhoun, Mahagoni Childs and Christie Boneparte.

The family is at the home and the home of his sister, Angela M. Calhoun, 825 Reynolds Avenue Greenwood, South Carolina.
