Glenn Norman, 68, husband of Linda Hackett Norman, departed his earthly life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his home.  He was born November 21, 1955, in Greenwood, S.C. to the late Willie Neal Norman, Sr. and the late Annie Mae Evans Norman.  He was the grandson of the late Lillie Wimes Evans and Joseph Evans, and the late Lizzie Statam Norman and Roddie Norman.

Glenn joined the Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Promised Land Community at an early age.  He attended Brewer High School and Greenwood High School.  Glenn was employed at Parke Davis/ProMed for over 30 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Linda Hackett Norman of the home; three sons: Carlos S Norman, Patrick D Norman and Alton G Norman, all of Greenwood, SC; three grandchildren:  Carlos S. Norman, Jr. and Karlnyious S. Norman of Greenwood, SC and Chesney A Norman of Ninety-Six, SC; two brothers: Rev. Willie Neal Norman, Jr. (Elestine S.), Promised Land and Gary Todd Norman, Greenwood, SC; one brother/cousin: Larry Norman (Brenda M) of Greenville, SC; two sisters: Brenda Norman Foster (Tommy),  Promised Land and Jacquelin Norman Jennings, Greenwood, SC; aunts: Annie Hawes Evans, Bernice Evans Norman, Julia Odessa E Wright, Ruby Norman Evans,  Helen White Norman, Velma Wright Evans, all of Promised Land, and Dorothy E. Norman, Greenwood, SC; uncle Raymond Norman (Louvenia S.), Greenwood, SC; sisters-in-law Deborah H Williams, Christa D Hackett, Janet L Hackett, all of Greenwood, SC and  Kimberly D (Kim) Murphy, Clinton, SC; brother-in-law John D. (Gwendolyn) Hackett of Wildwood, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his in-laws, Mattie W and John E. Hackett; sisters-in-law; Yolanda R. Williams and Valerie Hackett; Aunts/Uncles:  Lonnie Norman, Beatrice Norman Williams, Rev. Moses B Norman, Lula Norman Fletcher, Edward Norman, Sr., Joe Louis Norman, Robert Evans, Curtis Evans, Bennie Evans, Sr., Jane E Foster Logan, and Jessie Lee E Andrews; brother-in-law Joe L Jennings, and best friend, Joseph J Bradley.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. at Parks Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PLEAD, PO Box 3205, Greenwood, SC  29648.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Promised Land, with the Rev. Willie Neal Norman, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of his son, Patrick Norman, 237 Wheatfield Drive.
