George Allan Lomax, Jr., 70, of 306 Byrd Street entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Hospice House and Palliative Care in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Born December 27, 1951, he was the son of the late Ruth Mathis Lomax and the late George Allan Lomax, Sr.

"Peanut" as he was called by his friends and loved one, retired from Greenwood Mills after many years of service. He created the Walker Street Disco.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Jaydin Palmore and one sister, Yvonne Lomax Stringer.

Leaving to cherish his most precious and loving memories are;  two daughters, Lesheka Lomax and Christian Lomax, one son, Courey Murray all of Greenwood, South Carolina; one sister, Representative Julia Anne Parks of Greenwood, South Carolina; two brothers, Larry Lomax and Dale Smith both of Greenwood, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Courtee Murray of Saluda, South Carolina; Shemar Lomax, M. Yiana "M. M." Lomax and Jaylin Palmore all of Greenwood, South Carolina  and a host of relatives and friends who will truly miss him.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Parks Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Harris Officiating.  Assisted by Bishop Emmanuel Spearman and Reverend James Coleman.
