Francis Bowie , 57, of 114 Old Sample Street, Greenwood, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his home.

Born  in Greenwood County on June 25, 1960, he was the son of the late Julius Herman (Bud) Bowie and Doretha Kinard Bowie.

At an early age, he attended Little Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He was a 1978 graduate of Greenwood High School and was formerly employed with Caterpillar Incorporated in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

Leaving to cherish his most precious memories are; two sisters, Barbara Quarles (William) of Greenwood, South Carolina and Pansy (Andrew) Hawkins of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Herman (Joyce) Bowie of Salisbury, North Carolina and Glenn (Mary) Bowie of Greenwood, South Carolina; three nieces, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Myla; three nephews, Chris, Julius "Jay" and Miles; three great nieces and Nephew, Zola, Braxton and Pilir; four aunts, Thelma Boozer and Edna Kinard of Greenwood, South Carolina; Mattie Pearl Lawson of Willingboro, New Jersey and Delores Kinard of Waterloo, South Carolina.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Evening Star Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Derrick Scott, officiating.

The family is at the home.
