Eula Mae Cannon

Mrs. Eula Mae Cannon, 92, the widow of L. C. Cannon, and the daughter of the late Josie Watts and the late Ben Watts, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Self Regional Healthcare.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Eula was a Deaconess at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was also a very active member of the Russell / Taggert Street Community Club.

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Cannon; her sisters, Mrs. Marie White, Mrs. Dorothy Watson, and Mrs. Thelma Nicholson; and a brother, D. L. Watts.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: two sons, L. Curtis Cannon (Kitty), and Anthony Cannon (Mildred) both of Greenwood, SC; daughter-in-law, Gloria Cannon; six grandchildren, Andre Cannon, Natasha Cummings, Carlos Cannon, Shenoa Watts, Shaun Cannon, and Courtney Cannon; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Hattie Morton, Mrs. Helen Talley, Mrs. Virginia Cannon, Mrs. Viola Cannon and Mrs. Easter Cannon; brothers-in-law, Rev. Clyde Cannon, and Mr. Mileage Morton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Reverend Raymond Adams, Pastor Emeritus, Officiating. Assisting will be Bishop Dexter Cannon, Pastor, Reverend Eric Morton, Reverend Michael Butler and Minister Gwendolyn Watson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers and Floral Bearers will be family and friends.

The family is at the home, 128 Russell Street.
