Ervin Eugene Williams, Sr., 50,  of 104 South Bethune Street was born May 7, 1971 in Greenwood, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Donnell Williams, Sr., and the late Effie T. Boozer Williams. Ervin heard his name called on March 20, 2022 at 10:28 A.M. surrounded by his family at Self Regional Medical Center.

He was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1989. He loved basketball and played at Northside Junior High, a former construction worker and he was of the baptist faith.

Ervin was predeceased by his parents and one brother, James Williams.

Ervin was a loving genuine and devoted person. He was a true friend to everyone and had a humble spirit.

Ervin leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Ervin Eugene Williams, Jr. (Aisha Thomas);  one grandson, Vontae Harris; two brothers, Donnell Williams, Jr. and Jarvis Williams; two aunts, Maggie B Johnson and Carrie (Charles) Anthony; one uncle, Harper (Rose) Williams; one sister-in-law, Alysha Williams, one nephew, three nieces along with other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Old Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ninety Six, South Carolina (The Epworth Community) with Reverend Dr. Danny R. Webb, Pastor and Officiating and Reverend Sharon McGill, Presiding.  Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 A.M.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Morgan, Christopher Todd, Keith Roundtree, Kyle Watts, Darnell Smith and Vincent White.

Flower Bearers will be friends of the family.

The family is at the home of his son, 115 Country Village Court, Greenwood, South Carolina.
