On Sunday, December 10, 2017, Effie T. quietly and peacefully entered into an eternal rest.  She was born on March 23, 1938 in Ninety-Six, South Carolina to the late George and Louise (Johnson) Boozer, Sr., She was the second child of four siblings, George Jr., (who preceded her in death), Maggie and Carrie.

She was educated in the South Carolina School System graduating from Edgewood High School in 1957.  Effie T. excepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.  She was a faithful and dedicated member of Old Mount Zion Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society and other various auxiliaries.

Effie T. met and married the late Donell Williams, Sr. and from this union four sons were born, Donell, Jr., Jarvis, James (preceded her in death) and Ervin Williams, Sr.

She was employed by Self Memorial Hospital, Lantex, J & W Cab Company and retired from Greenwood Mills Sloan Plant.

She loved the Lord, her family, church family and friends.  She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She enjoyed cooking, singing, reading and helping people.  She had a humble spirit.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her three children, Donell Jr., Jarvis and Ervin Sr., five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Maggie J. Werts and Carrie (Charles) Anthony both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania one daughter-in-law, Alysha Williams, one brother-in-law, Harper (Rose) Williams, two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Gilchrist and Judy Boozer, a special first cousin, Elizabeth Arnold as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Home Going service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Old Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Danny Webb, Pastor and Officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Williams will be placed in the church at 9:00 A.M.  Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M at the Church.
