Dorothy Mary Deal Lake, 76, of 306 Calhoun Road East, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at her home.

Born in Abbeville County, South Carolina on January 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George Deal, II and the late Allie Mae Anderson Deal.

She was a graduate of Allen University where she received her Master's Degree in Business Administration. She continued her education by attending Tuskegee University majoring in Early Childhood Learning.

Throughout her workforce career, she was employed with Gleams Human Resources, Jarius Cutting Tools, The Department of Social Services of South Carolina, The Department of Employment and Workforce and The Goodwill as an Employment Specialist.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Tessel George Deal, two daughters-in-law, Juna Deal, and Jacqueline Deal; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one uncle, Guy Russell Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia; her caregiver, Nadine Adams along with a host of other relatives and friend who will miss her dearly.

Memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Little Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Reverend Beatrice O.  Coleman officiating.
