Doremus N. Adams departed his stay on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Self Regional Medical Center.

He retired from the United States Army and later worked as a construction contractor for many years.  In his spare time he would cut grass and also lay cement.

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Adams Lewis of Maryland.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ella Jean Adams of the home, one son, Jesse Anderson of Greenwood, South Carolina; one daughter, Bessie Anderson Glenn of Columbia, South Carolina; two step daughters, Lena Mae Wilson and Torshia Davis both of Maryland; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives to cherish his memory.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.
