Knowledge Kawme Shakur, 41, AKA Dexter Antonio Sheppard entered into rest on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

He was born in Greenwood, South Carolina on November 27, 1984.  He was the son of Cassandra Sheppard and Dexter (Pamela) Parks, Greenwood S.C.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Robert Dansby, Sr. and Richmond Sheppard, Sr. His grandmother; Evangelist Mary Campbell. His uncles; Jeff Sheppard, Richmond Sheppard, Jr. Charles Sheppard and Chuck Campbell. His great-uncle; Roosevelt Ramey, and also, an aunt; Sharon Crawford.

He leaves his everlasting memories to cherish with his family and friends who loved him dearly. Surviving his devoted fianc* Brandelyn (Brandy) Wallace.  His loving sisters and brothers; DeChelle Sheppard, Taja Parks, Vanteesha Scurry, Avian Sheppard and Rashaun Parks.  Also, his beloved uncles and aunts; Vernon Griffin, Frank Harling, Kurt Dansby, Mike Dansby, Robert Dansby, Jr., Richard Ramey, Jerry Ramey Dana Moton, Frances Lee, Shirley Peterson, Lisa Bell and Christie Collier with a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 2:00 – 6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Knowledge Kawme Shakur will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 29, 2026 in the chapel of Parks Funeral Home with Evangelist Vernon Griffin Officiating and Mr. Robert Dansby Presiding.  Assisting will be Minister Felicia Kinard and Bishop Roosevelt Moton.

The family is at the home of his mother, 205 New Market Street Apartment 50-B in Greenwood, South Carolina.
