Mr. David Carroll, 59, of 703 Truett Avenue, departed this life on April 10, 2017 at the HospiceCare of the Piedmont in Greenwood, South Carolina.

At an early age, David joined Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education in the public schools of Greenwood County and           worked for Greenwood Mills (Matthews Plant) for a number of years.

He was very loving and had a big heart for his family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Carroll; three brothers, Robert L. Carroll, Henry J. Carroll and Lewis Carroll, Sr.

Leaving to cherish his most precious memories are; four sisters, Judy (James) Moss and Donna (John) Moss both of Callison; Betty (Clinton) Holloway and Deloris (Jonathan) Hamilton of Greenwood, South Carolina; one brother, Ernest Carroll of North Carolina; two aunts, Mattie Lights and Alice Carroll both of Greenwood, South Carolina; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Deidre Higgins, officiating and the Rev. William Booker, Jr. presiding.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
