David Douglas Butler, Jr., " Big June", 58, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Midlands Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

He was born in Greenwood to the late David and Sarah Butler of the Wisewood Community in Greenwood, South Carolina.

"Big June" as he was also known, was a former bus driver for the Greenwood School District where he retired, delivered newspapers, and drove cabs.  He was well known and love within the Greenwood Community for his big heart and words of encouragement to all.

Leaving to cherish his most precious memories, his sister, Helen "Cookie" (Larry) Mack of North, South Carolina; his nephew, raised in the home, Andre (Olivia) Bookman of Simpsonville, South Carolina and his great niece who he adored, Alexis S. Bookman of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three special sisters, Willa (Pete) Morgan, Sherry (Charles) Wideman and Princess Williams and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside service and burial will be held at noon on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Evening Star Cemetery with the Reverend James C. Coleman Presiding.

Pallbearers and Flower Bearers will be family and friends.
