Billy Watson, Sr., 63, of 406 Fortune Avenue entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2025 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Willy "Doug" Christopher and the late Mary Watson.

He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Deshawn "BJ" Watson, Jr., his nephew, JayVeria Montayju Minyard and step mother, Emma Moore Christopher.

Leaving to cherish his loving memories are two daughters, Shann Watson and Tiffany Watson; three granddaughters, Jemeria Williams, Shaniya Moragne and De'zarhia Briggs; two grandsons, Demarriyus Briggs and Ja'Mari Chamberlain; one brother, Joe Davis Watson; ten sisters, Peggy Morton (Archie), Lisa Watson, Diane Minyard, Shirley Christopher, of Hodges, South Carolina, Neva Christopher, Patricia Christopher, Mary Christopher, Hattie M (James) Settles, Maggie Mathis and Sandra Lindsay all of Greenwood, South Carolina, He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Billy Watson, Sr., will be held at noon on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the chapel of Parks Funeral Home with Reverend James Coleman officiating. Reverend William Butler will be assisting.  Burial will be in Old Field Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery in Bradley, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Doe Watson, JaVante' Minyard, Don Goggins, Dequan Oliver, Jasper Chinn and James Cross. Flower Bearers will be Jemeria Williams, Shanyah Moragne and JaVetta' Minyard.

The family is at the home of his sisters, Diane Davis and Lisa Watson 411 Fortune Avenue.
