OBITUARY

Ms. Betty Ann Williams Spencer, who was a District Missionary President in the Mt. Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, peacefully departed this life on October 26, 2024 at the National Healthcare (NHC) in Greenwood, SC. She was born to the late Deacon Robert Williams and the late Reverend Viola Abrams Williams. She was educated in the Greenwood Public Schools and she did domestic work for numerous of years. She was a member of St. Luke Pentecostal Church.

She was born into the Pentecostal Church and served faithfully until her health declined. She served as District Missionary President for over 40 years. She trained under the leadership of the late Bishop David Samuel (DS) Strong and the late National Mother Lois Bostic Strong; the late Bishop C. F. Ledbetter, the late Bishop H. L. Hill, the late Bishop Tommy T. Mansel, the late Bishop Douglas Thomas, and the late Bishop Roosevelt Williams, and the late Reverend Mary Williams, and many other great men and women of God.

She served faithfully as the Deaconesses of St. Luke Pentecostal Church. She was a member of the General Board and Prayer Band Club. She served as choir director for many years and she loved to sing. She was instrumental in organizing the Women's Board and trained many ladies during her time to love God. She loved people and had a great sense of humor and was full of laughter. She was a great woman of God.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five special nieces, Viola Williams, Rosemary Tolden, Delores (Robert) Chiles, Judy Harling all of Greenwood SC, and Jackie (Eric) White of Rex GA; five nephews, Bobby Robinson, Elder Billy (Cheryl) Robinson, Willie (Leah) Robinson, Tony Robinson all of Greenwood SC, and Drexter (Romaine) Anderson of Acworth GA; and as many as five generations of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Special thanks to her caregiver, Viola Williams, her niece, who assisted her during her time of need for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas C. Williams and Robert 'Bob' Williams Jr., John 'Bulee" Williams, Bishop Roosevelt Williams, and one sister, Rosa Lee Williams Robinson; two nephews, Charles Williams, and James Robinson.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Mt. Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Headquarters (St. Luke Pentecostal Church 204 Alexander Avenue East), Presiding Bishop Henry L. Burton and Officiating Evangelist Andrea Martin. Burial will follow at the Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood, SC. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Parks Funeral Home, 514 Hackett Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646.

The family will receive friends at the home of her niece, Viola Williams, 111 Columbia Ave, Greenwood SC 29646.
