Benjamin Franklin Terry, Sr., 87, of 613 New Zion Road in Bradley, South Carolina departed his faithful walk upon us at his home on Monday, December 4, 2023.

Born on March 4, 1941, in Greenwood County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late John Henry Terry, Sr., and Sarah Collins Terry.

He was a God-fearing man and a passionate concrete finisher for more than 40 years starting his family legacy Terry's Concrete. "Ben" was a man of great dignity and character who enjoyed making you laugh, cooking the best hash, sweet potato pies and gardening. He wore a special love for his children and grandchildren on his sleeve, there's nothing he wouldn't do for them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Hackett Terry; one daughter, Jacqueline Terry; two sons, Stanley Eric Terry and Benjamin F. Terry, Jr.; one grandson, Shane Donovan Terry; four sisters, Margaret Cannon, Bennie Hentz, Lillian Lagroon, and Dessie Marshall and two brothers, Collins Terry and John Henry Terry, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving daughter, Tiffany (Lacodian) Lindsay of Greenwood, South Carolina; a devoted grandson, Eric (Tashia) Terry and Messiah Carter of Greenwood, South Carolina; one grandson reared in the home, Laquincthius Lamar Terry; three granddaughters, Sierra Martin, Ashley Martin and Consuela Parks all of Greenwood, South Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Lucille W. Terry of Greenwood, South Carolina; three special sisters, Sarah Gaskin and Lillie Bell Andrews of Bradley, South Carolina and Ida Robinson of Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Zarelda Terry and Eloise Terry; his caregivers until the end, Carolyn Austin, Cynthia Martin and Valerie Sanders; 11 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home.

A celebration of Mr. Benjamin Franklin Terry, Sr., Life will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Second Damascus Baptist Church with the Reverend Leroy Robertson, Pastor and Officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 12 noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Terry, Jr., Darris Brooks, Jr., Devin Brooks, Sr., Devin Brooks, Jr., Devyne Brooks, Bruce McLaughlin, Jr., and Messiah Carter.

Flower Bearers will be nieces.
