Mr. Antoine Bernard Calhoun, Sr., 45, of 115 Oakwood Street, High Point, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his home.

Born in Greenwood County, South Carolina on November 18, 1978, he was the son of Thomas Bernard Calhoun and Rosita Wiggins Wright.

At an early age he attended New China Baptist Church in Troy, South Carolina. He was educated in McCormick and Greenwood Public School Systems and was employed with McDonald's Franchise in High Point, North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by one son, Antoine Bernard Calhoun, Jr., his paternal grandparents, Sammy L. "Snoop" Drennon, Sr., and Sarah Calhoun; his maternal grandparents, Arthur Wiggins and Jessie Agnew Wiggins.

Leaving to cherish his most fond and precious memories are; his wife, Shumda Moore Calhoun of Greenwood, South Carolina; four sons, DeQuincy Lamar Durant of McCormick, South Carolina; Elijah Hurley and Christopher King Calhoun both of Greenwood, South Carolina and James Miller of Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Antwanella Adams of Greenwood, South Carolina; his father, Thomas B. Calhoun of Greenwood, South Carolina; his mother and stepfather, Rosita and George Wright of Greenwood, South Carolina; two brothers, Zacchus Allen and Keldon Greenwood both of Greenwood, South Carolina; one stepbrother, Quentin Warren of Greenwood, South Carolina; nine aunts, Sarah L. Klugh, Angela M. Calhoun, Katherine Abney and Allison Middleton all of Greenwood, South Carolina; Josephine Glenn of Capital Heights, Maryland; Angela Butler of Kentucky; Paulette Brown, Juliet Paul and Judy Wiggins all of Greenville, South Carolina; ten uncles, James Devlin, Sammy L. Drennon, Jr., , Jeffery Calhoun, Alfred Wiggins, Jermaine Wiggins, Jarvis Wiggins and Darwin Smith all of Greenwood, South Carolina; David Calhoun of Augusta Georgia; Jesse Calhoun of Bradley, South Carolina and Dennis Wiggins of Greenville, South Carolina.  Antoine is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1-6 P.M. at Parks Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Antoine Bernard Calhoun, Sr., will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 424 Baptist Avenue, Greenwood, South Carolina with Reverend Quincy J. Baylor, Presiding and Reverend Michael Wright, Officiating.  Assisting will be Reverend Von Austin and Reverend Demetrius Middleton. The body will be placed in the church at 11:00 am. Burial will be in New China Baptist Church Cemetery, 7515 McCormick Highway, Troy, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery B. Calhoun, Corey Drennon, DeJohn Drennon, Samuel Calhoun, Rodney Foster, Edward Byrd, Terrance Butler and Rodney Drennon.

Flower Bearers will be Sharon Cullins, Paulette Brown, Judy Wiggins, Catherine Abney, Livia D. Watson, India Drennon, Tamika Drennon and Zy'Keria Gilyard.

The family is at the home of his mother, Rosita Wright, 702 Highland Drive and his aunt, Angela M. Calhoun, 825 Reynolds Avenue both in Greenwood, South Carolina.
