The sun arose for Allen Ware on March 3, 1944 and set on April 25, 2017 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.

He was the son of the late Nathaniel Ware and Zoline Ware Humphrey.  He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Allen Nathaniel Ware of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Alexis Ware Daniels (Kevin) of Jamaica, New York. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Phillips, Vivian Fitz-Roy and Vera Harris. Surviving are two brothers, Bobby and Clifton Ware both of Bowie, Maryland and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was a member of Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church for many years where he participated in some of the church activities.  He graduated from Brewer High School in 1962 and attended Clafin University where he met and married Margie Richardson Ware.  He graduated with a B. S. Degree in Health/Science and Physical Education in 1966.  His first teaching assignment was in Jasper County at Ridgeland High School where he taught Health/Physical Education along with coaching football and basketball.  He later came back home and was assigned to Brewer High School in 1970.  Afterward he continued teaching and coaching (track and field).  His final teaching assignment was at Edgefield High School District (J.E.P.) where he later retired in 1992.

His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren.  He always encouraged them to be the best that they could be.
